Internship Program Weekend Activities

The University of Dreams weekend activities are one of the most popular aspects of our program, and it's no secret why. Traveling and experiencing the city is a crucial element in allowing you to explore all that San Francisco has to offer. It is very important to us that you get the full experience of living in San Francisco. Below is a breakdown of the type of activities the program will host.

Tour of San Francisco
With San Francisco back in our lineup this summer, you should get excited about what this city has to offer! We will kick start our summer with a tour for you to get comfortable with your surroundings and also make any notes of anything you want to check out even further during your stay with us this summer. You will get a chance to see places like Fisherman's Wharf, the Ferry building, Nob Hill, Chinatown, Coit Tower, and even Lombard Street (the World's Crookedest Street), just to name a few! This will definitely be a well-spent afternoon in Frisco!
White Water Rafting
For those with an adventurous spirit, this activity will sure be able to appease those who are up for trying anything new! The weekend will consist of a fun-filled day of white water rafting through the American River while you have an amazing opportunity to meet other program participants and explore your adventurous side! We will be guided by trained individuals through class three rapids which will really get your adrenaline pumping!
Napa Valley Wineries
Napa Valley is famous for its wine! What better opportunity than for wine lovers and those who have never been wine tasting to see what a real vineyard is like. We will stop at different types of vineyards to show the range of different atmospheres offered in Napa and Sonoma. You will also get your chance to taste some amazing wines and maybe even pick up a bottle for friends and family back home! They will love you for it!

S.F. Giants Baseball Game
This trip will be spent celebrating one of America's favorite pastimes! And what better way than to catch a game at the famous AT&T Park, right on the edge of the Bay in San Francisco? This is an amazing stadium and view even if you're not there for the game itself. Surprisingly, it's actually preferred to get one of the nose bleed seats because of the view! You will be able to see the Bay Bridge in the background, and you may even see boats in the bay scopin' out the scene in hopes of catching a homerun! What a great afternoon this will be in the California sun!

Overnight to Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is an amazing location for an activity with its snow-capped mountains as the back drop and some of the deepest blue waters you will ever see! The location itself is as naturally inspirational as it comes during the winter and the summer! You will embrace an escape from the cool city winds with this weekend activity where we will be spending the day at one of the breathtaking beaches on the lake and then heading back to our hotel to get ready for a fun night on the Route 50 strip, also known as mini-Las Vegas! This will definitely be a weekend for the books!
Going Away Party
To celebrate the end of another amazing summer, UOD will host the end-all of parties! This will be the last chance that everyone will be able to get together as a whole and celebrate eight life-changing weeks in San Francisco! We will be taking you out as our guests of honor for dinner at a trendy restaurant, followed by a chance to dance the night away at one of the trendy Frisco clubs!
